Sean Strickland doesn't see himself burying the hatchet with Khamzat Chimaev after UFC 328.

Strickland (30-7 MMA, 17-7 UFC) challenges UFC middleweight champion Chimaev (15-0 MMA, 9-0 UFC) in the May 9 main event at Prudential Center in Newark, N.J. on Paramount+. The bad blood between the pair is evident, with Strickland going as far as saying he would shoot Chimaev if he jumps him before the fight.

"We Die Enemies": Strickland on Chimaev Rivalry

Strickland spoke to reporters during his open workout and made it clear this rivalry will not end with a handshake.

"The shitty thing is that whoever wins is going to have bragging rights, and whoever doesn't is just going to have to fucking eat shit until they die," Strickland said. "That's the worst thing about this fight. Say I go fight 'Fluffy' (Hernandez) and 'Fluffy' beats me, I raise his hand, I say you beat me, good job. Dricus (Du Plessis) beat me, I raise his hand, you beat me. But nah dude, I think me and 'Cum shot,' we die enemies."

Strickland Believes He Has Chimaev's Number

Strickland is a big underdog against the undefeated phenom, but after training with him years ago at Xtreme Couture, the former champion is confident he has Chimaev's number.

"I truly believe I'm better than him without a doubt," Strickland said. "From everything I know of him, from all my experience with him in the ring and out of the ring, I think he's a weak man, and I think I'm better than him. He got punked by Costa, bro. The fucking pretty boy. You let Costa come punk your ass, 'Hold me back guys, hold me back.' You fucking pussy."

Strickland Unimpressed by Chimaev's Training Partner

Footage from the middleweight champion's training camp has shown Chimaev sparring with Brendan Allen ahead of their next fights. Strickland, who defeated Allen by stopping him in the second round six years ago, clearly does not expect this to give his upcoming opponent an edge.

"If Brendan Allen was right here and you were to watch Johnny (Eblen) spar Brendan Allen, Johnny could fuck him if he wanted to," Strickland said in a clip posted by Full Send MMA. "So you're posting these clips of you beating Brendan Allen, bro? Brendan Allen has his Instagram handle on his truck, bro. You're pretty much fighting a woman, bro.

"You're beating up a woman. I'm out here training with one of the baddest men on the fucking planet and you're beating up fucking Brendan Allen thinking you're training, dog. You ain't training, dude, you're beating up a woman."

Strickland called Johnny Eblen to help him with his preparations for the title fight, while Chimaev brought in Allen. Strickland has had high praise for Eblen in the past, but both choices of sparring partners make sense for the two men who will fight for the UFC middleweight title next month.

UFC 328 Main Event Preview

The fight marks Chimaev's first title defense since capturing the belt at UFC 319 with a dominant unanimous decision win over Dricus du Plessis. Strickland earned his title shot by defeating Anthony "Fluffy" Hernandez.

Dana White has confirmed extra security measures for the event, including separate hotels for the fighters, following the heated war of words between the two.
