UFC Rankings Shakeup: Josh Hokit Crashes Heavyweight Top 5, Ulberg Enters Pound-for-Pound List
Josh Hokit Crashes Heavyweight Top 5, Ulberg Enters Pound-for-Pound List

The official UFC rankings have received a significant post-fight update following the action-packed UFC 327 event in Miami. The latest voter panel results, comprised of MMA media members, have introduced several major changes across multiple weight classes.
Hokit Breaks Into Heavyweight Elite
Undefeated heavyweight phenom Josh Hokit has officially crashed the heavyweight Top 5. Following his unanimous victory over longtime contender Curtis Blaydes, Hokit now finds himself ranked No. 5 in the division. The win, which occurred via unanimous decision at UFC 327, marks Hokit’s third fight in the UFC. Champion Tom Aspinall currently holds the top spot in the heavyweight division.
Light Heavyweight Rise for Paulo Costa
Former middleweight title challenger Paulo Costa has entered into the Top 10 at light heavyweight. Costa earned the No. 7 spot by wrecking Russian slugger Azamat Murzakanov. As a result of this loss, Murzakanov fell two spots to No. 8.
How the Rankings Work
The rankings are generated by a voting panel made up of media members. These members are asked to vote for who they feel are the top fighters in the UFC by weight class and pound-for-pound. A fighter is only eligible to be voted on if they are in active status in the UFC. A fighter can appear in more than one weight division at a time. The champion and interim champion are considered to be in the top positions of their respective divisions and therefore are not eligible for voting by weight-class. However, the champions can be voted on for the pound-for-pound rankings.
Notable Movement in Other Divisions
Elsewhere in the men’s rankings, lightweights Arman Tsarukyan moved up two spots to No. 13, while Carlos Ulberg entered the pound-for-pound list at No. 15 as a new entry. In the featherweight division, Aaron Pico entered at No. 13, while Patricio Pitbull fell two spots to No. 15.
The updated rankings are available officially via UFC.com.
What’s Next for Hokit?
Hokit is already scheduled for his next appearance. The rising heavyweight star is set to face former interim title challenger Derrick Lewis on Sunday, June 14, on the South Lawn. The matchup represents a clash between the old guard and the new guard in the UFC’s heavyweight division as the sport continues its 2026 campaign.
