Welcome to the roundup and the winner announcement of UFC Freedom 250! I'm going to keep the round up short and sweet, because i think everyone visiting these pages watched it live, but i might through a few of my opinions out before a quick brief on the platform and finally the winners of UFC 250.

UFC Freedom 250 Roundup

I don't need to say too much here, you all saw it, what an absolute cracker of an event! Everything from the walkouts, to the setup to the fireworks inside and outside of the octagon. It did not disappoint!

First fight up Lopes vs Garcia. Garcia was on a massive win streak, but time and time again we see people who dominate in the lower ranks get tested with they start to play at the top level of the sport, Lopes's experience and preparation for two fights with Volk made him absolutely unstoppable and he dominated Garcia with a second round KO. I wonder what is next for him? Surely he can't do a trilogy with Volk - but i can't wait either way.

Next up Bo came out hard tying Daukus up in what seemed like the first 10 seconds, only to finish it up towards the end of the first round with a head kick and left right and a ground and pound. I think its great to see Bo proving that he isn't as one dimensional as we worried, great win!

Following that Ruffy proved that Chandler is probably at the end of his career. To be honest Chandler looked like a faint shadow of his former self, he simply didnt have the fire he was once known for. Great career but it might time to let it go after losing to 1st round KO.

I think we can probably say the same thing about Lewis, who looked like he gave up about 30 seconds into the fight. Towering over Hokkit he had no answer to any of the wrestling and was just out classed at every level, and thats tough to say when it comes to Hokkit who seemingly has no class at all! Either way Hokkit took it with a R2 KO. I really wonder what Hokkits future is in this sport, he seems like he is on the edge of a mental snap, but there could be some potential if he reels it in and keeps working his game at all levels. At heavyweight i still think he will get dominated by the true masters of the sport.

O'Malley did a great job, not my favourite fighter but it looks like he took this one seriousy, he looked sharp and quick sniped shots at Zahabi who looked awkward AF and couldnt really get anything off. O'mally did a great job taking it in a 2nd round KO. I still do wonder though, he has some stiff competition in Yan, Merab and Umar - I know technically he won against Yan once, but i didnt really think so. Either way, his next fight is going to be a tough one, it will be interesting to see if he has an answer for the wrestling in the division.

Gane Pereira was nuts. In the venue where we watched the crowd went absolutely insane for Pereira. I think Gane did a good job of throwing in some shots to keep it turning into a pure kickboxing match. Truth is heavyweights just hit harder and can take more and I just don't think Pereira is used to that power. Either way Gane won decisively with a R2 KO showing Pereira he is going to have to a do a lot more if he wants any chance at that Triple Champ status.

Last but not least!! Gaethje v Topuria! What an ending to an amazing card. So many people were counting Gathje out but he proved that he has what it takes to do it and to do it dominantly. The bookies had him at 7 - 1 for a KO and even at those odds, what a dominant performance. I thought Gatehje was in trouble with those body shots i think in round 2, but Gathje fought his way out of every sticky situation absolutely piecing Topuria up. I was very surprised that the doctors call to stop the fight in R3 was overturned, but it proved to be the right decision with Ilia going into the 4th round looking deflated, bloody and bruised where he went on to take an absolute beating. Correct call i recon from his corner, handing Gaethje the TKO in the 4th. Ilia is going to have to reflect on this, i really wonder what this does to his confidence moving forward! As for Gaethje well deserved after such a long career fighting at the top levels to get crowned the champ at the whitehouse!

Oops! Turned out to be a long one again! Either way what an awesome card. I think the UFC should consider upping the bonuses in future cards if it means we get fighters motivated to put it all in and provide entertainment like we were just privileged enough to witness!

Other than this, groups have started taking off like crazy. As soon as we drop a few more features we will kick off our first group to group competition which will let you and your friends compete together and against each other where the top-7 scores in your group contribute to your score and will win your whole team a massive prize.

FR020 Results

We've been working on the leaderboards, making sure that users can find out where they place, how they've moved and what bonuses they received, so check em out to see your current standing. This was our first comp with an FR+ prize bonus so it will be interesting to see who made it up there.
