Cory Sandhagen and Mario Bautista will rematch this weekend at UFC 329 inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Sandhagen submitted Bautista via first-round armbar in their first meeting back in 2019. That defeat marked Bautista's first professional loss. Seven years later, both men have evolved into elite bantamweight contenders.

The Rematch

"I feel from that point to this point, we've grown so much, both of us," Bautista said during UFC 329 media day. "I have gone through so much. I expect a completely different fight this time."

Bautista believes experience is the biggest difference between the two meetings. He has gone on an eight-fight win streak since 2022, fighting big names like Jose Aldo and Patchy Mix.

Sandhagen is coming off a failed championship bid against Merab Dvalishvili in October of last year. He started strong against "The Machine" but was nearly knocked out in the second round. By the time he recovered, the fight had already escaped him.

Bautista successfully bounced back from his loss to Umar Nurmagomedov by defeating Vinicius Oliveira this past February.
