Thanks to everyone for joining in Fight Realm’s very first competition. We had almost 600 signups in a 4-day period, the culmination of many months of work bringing our passion project to market and to all of you, our fellow fight sport fans!
While we were aiming to launch to a bigger main event, timing had it such that UFC310 was our launchpad. It was such an interesting card, and made a whole lot more interesting by following the fantasy performance.
We saw Dooho Choi come out fiery as ever making light work of Nat Landwehr, Bryce Mitchel dealing a massive punishment to Kron Gracie for pulling guard in an MMA fight, a controversial decision to Cyril Gane, Ian do more than hold his own against the welterweight boogeyman Shavkat and for the main event of the evening, we saw Pantoja welcome Kai Asakura to the UFC with a rear naked that may have Kai questioning his decision to come to the big leagues.
All in all it was a far more exciting card than I anticipated. Pick wise I managed to get 4/5 of the right winning selections, although the rounds and methods didn’t quite go my way. Interestingly enough there was no Fight of the night awarded, although Pantoja v Asakura managed to get a performance bonus for the evening. Far better than myself were the winners of FR001: The Launch.

WHATS NEXT?
We received fantastic feedback from many of our users, about what was great and what could be better. We have taken onboard a lot of that feedback and are going to knuckle down looking to make some improvements to the user experience ready for the next main event UFC 311.
We will be looking to begin cover every event in the new year and most likely expand the selections to the prelims card to make it even more exciting.
