UFC Vegas 122 went down last night (Sat., Oct. 10, 2026) inside Meta Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada, which saw Brendan Allen tap Christian Leroy Duncan with a buzzer-beating, rear-naked choke finish in the fifth and final round in their headlining bout. In the co-main event of the evening, Jai Herbert defeated Matheus Camilo via unanimous decision in a back-and-forth battle.
Biggest Winner: Brendan Allen
Allen passed a solid test in his bid for securing a future 185-pound title shot, winning his fourth straight fight by strangling Duncan to close the latest "Sin City" show. It was a big step for "All-In," who always seems to come up short just when he is on the cusp of breaking through for championship fight consideration.
Now, this will not automatically put him in the driver's seat, but it could at least set him up for a title eliminator fight next against a Top 5-seeded contender. With one more notable win, Allen could finally find himself invited to the big dance.
Runner Up: Andre Fili
Just when you think Fili is on the last leg of his career after nearly 1.5 decades with the promotion, he goes out and delivers an epic "Knockout of the Year" candidate performance, destroying Kai Kamaka III via terrifying head kick. In the process, Fili snapped a two-fight losing streak, got a new lease on his UFC career and walked away with a fat post-fight bonus check.
He may be getting up there in age and in fights, but Fili showed once again that you cannot count him out in any fight. Now, if he can just rack up a few wins in consecutive order, he could earn himself a spot in the Top 15.
Biggest Loser: Malcolm Wellmaker
The once-promising prospect, who exploded with back-to-back first-round knockout wins, has taken yet another stumble. Wellmaker was all the buzz early on in his UFC career but has now dropped three in a row with his latest loss coming via devastating fashion thanks to Otari Tanzilovi, who knocked him out in the second round.
The 32-year-old is at a crossroads in his career, and there is no telling if he will be able to get back on track inside the Octagon. Where it has gone wrong for him is unclear, but he does not look like the same man who was once giving fight fans hope of a new UFC star in the making.
