This weekend, Alexandre Pantoja seeks a unique revenge against Joshua Van in their second title fight in nine months.

In December, Pantoja suffered an injury just 26 seconds into a flyweight title defense against Van, as the latter won the belt in strange circumstances. The Myanmar native was therefore a divisive champion, but he legitimized his reign by winning a war against Tatsuro Taira in May, ultimately stopping his challenger in the final round.

To further cement his status as flyweight champion, however, Van may need to beat Pantoja definitively, and he gets the chance to do so at UFC 331.

The Main Event

Van, 24, faces Pantoja, 36, in a rematch that carries massive stakes for both men. Van won the belt in controversial fashion after Pantoja's injury, then proved himself against Taira. Now he must beat Pantoja definitively to silence any remaining doubters.

For Pantoja, it is a chance at redemption and a return to the throne he never truly lost.

Co-Main Event

Before Van and Pantoja settle their rivalry, the co-main event pits Arman Tsarukyan against fellow lightweight contender Mauricio Ruffy.
