Renato Moicano's bout with Brian Ortega canceled; new fight announced

Renato Moicano's scheduled fight against Brian Ortega at UFC 331 has been canceled due to Ortega's injury, with Moicano now set to face Tom Nolan on Oct. 31 in Las Vegas.

The anticipated lightweight fight between Renato Moicano and Brian Ortega has been called off ahead of UFC 331 due to an injury incurred by Ortega. The cancellation leaves Moicano without an opponent for the Los Angeles event, which is set to take place this Saturday.

Moicano booked for new main event

Following the cancellation, UFC officials announced that Renato Moicano will instead headline a lightweight bout against rising contender Tom Nolan. This fight is scheduled for October 31 at UFC Fight Night, set to occur at the Meta APEX in Las Vegas.

Changes to UFC 331 lineup

With the removal of Moicano vs. Ortega from the fight card, UFC 331 will feature a total of 12 bouts. The event will still be headlined by a flyweight title fight, where champion Joshua Van will defend his belt against former titleholder Alexandre Pantoja.
