Michael Chandler hopes to return to winning ways by knocking out Mauricio Ruffy on June 14 at the White House. The 40-year-old is currently on a three-fight losing skid and needs a statement win to stay relevant in the lightweight division.

"I'm going to knock out Mauricio Ruffy on the White House lawn, and then we'll see what happens after that," Chandler told Mike Bohn.

The McGregor Saga Is Dead

Chandler and Conor McGregor were supposed to fight. It never happened. Now, Chandler says he has no emotions left about the fight that never materialized.

"This whole thing has been an up-and-down soap opera for the better part of a couple of years," Chandler said. "As big as it was, as entrenched as I was in it, I just feel like I'm a million miles away now. I don't really have any emotions about it."

The Ruffy Test

Ruffy represents a dangerous rebound opportunity. The Brazilian is young, hungry, and looking to make a name off a legend. Chandler cannot afford a fourth straight loss.

Chandler has lost to Charles Oliveira, Dustin Poirier, and Paddy Pimblett in his last three outings. His face was battered by Pimblett at UFC 314. At 40, the window is closing fast. The White House lawn offers the brightest spotlight of his career. Win, and he survives. Lose, and the curtain likely falls.
